BE INSPIRED! THE SPIRE IS GOING UP.. UP.. UP!

PP-BellT001Tuesday 18th February

Verner Street will be closed off from 6 am to allow the giant crane to raise the spire into position. The copper spire itself is 9.5 metres tall and added to the top is a 4 metre lightning rod.

The installation of the Spire marks the completion of the original design of the Cathedral – what a wonderful milestone.

It was wonderful to see so many locals come to inspect the spire and share in a sausage sandwich on Saturday.

Copper tiles are still for sale $1000 – our major fundraising effort to meet the costs of the spire installation.
